
Banyan Treatment Centers dual diagnosis facility in Castle Rock, CO has a full-time, nightshift opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their nursing team as a Staff/Floor Nurse. This position reports to the department's Director and receives direct shift support from designated shift leads.
In this direct patient care role, you will provide crucial nursing services to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team. As a nightshift Staff Nurse (LPN), you will:

Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and medical provider in accordance with medical protocols and scope of practice.
Assist in completing nursing assessments and required admission documentation within established timeframes, with assessments reviewed and co-signed by an RN as required.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within scope of practice; provide medication education as directed.
Monitor patient medical status, report changes promptly, and assist in initiating appropriate interventions, referrals, or emergency response as indicated.
Monitor patients for psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety concerns, and report changes to the RN, provider, or treatment team as appropriate.
Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk awareness, de-escalation techniques, and patient safety interventions, escalating concerns to an RN or provider as required.
