Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Staff Nurse will be required to work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide palliative care to patients with terminal illness and end-stage organ failure. Palliative care will include pain and symptoms management, and providing psychological, emotional and spiritual care support to patients and their family members.

Responsibilities:

  • To uphold professional nursing standards for patients admitted to Dover Park Hospice as well as care for families and loved ones and be a good team player within the nursing team.

  • To work in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Nurse, NC/NM/NE and other nursing staff as appropriate to put in place clinical processes that are conducive to the maintenance and improvement of standards of nursing care in inpatient.

  • To ensure accuracy of all documentations related to patient care in the system.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in acute care

  • Palliative Care or ICU nursing training/background is preferred to support nurses in providing high-quality care in a hospice setting

  • Able to work 3 rotating shifts (for in-patient wards)

  • Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
