Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Staff Nurse will be required to work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide palliative care to patients with terminal illness and end-stage organ failure. Palliative care will include pain and symptoms management, and providing psychological, emotional and spiritual care support to patients and their family members.
Responsibilities:
To uphold professional nursing standards for patients admitted to Dover Park Hospice as well as care for families and loved ones and be a good team player within the nursing team.
To work in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Nurse, NC/NM/NE and other nursing staff as appropriate to put in place clinical processes that are conducive to the maintenance and improvement of standards of nursing care in inpatient.
To ensure accuracy of all documentations related to patient care in the system.
Requirements:
Diploma / Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in acute care
Palliative Care or ICU nursing training/background is preferred to support nurses in providing high-quality care in a hospice setting
Able to work 3 rotating shifts (for in-patient wards)
Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
