We are hiring
Staff Nurse -Emergency Department

into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Our client is seeking experienced Staff Nurses with a minimum of

three years’ relevant experience in Emergency Department nursing

. Candidates should have strong clinical assessment, prioritisation, and emergency care skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable and responsible for own professional practice, with a clear understanding of the Scope of Professional Practice, Code of Professional Conduct, and Beacon Hospital policies, guidelines, and competencies relevant to practice.


  • Provision of high-quality nursing care through the use of an individualised system of care, in line with agreed nursing standards.


  • Monitoring and management of all complaints and incidents, with prompt escalation to the Clinical Coordinator to ensure full investigation and appropriate follow-up.


  • Ongoing evaluation and maintenance of high standards of patient care, with particular focus on nursing care within the department.


  • Supervision and support of junior nursing staff during each span of duty, providing appropriate guidance, direction, and assistance.


  • Promotion of a positive learning environment and encouragement of continuous professional development.


  • Engagement with current developments in nursing practice to enhance professional knowledge and clinical skills.


  • Identification and contribution to potential areas of nursing research within the specialty to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.


  • Requirements


    • Registered or eligible for registration in the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.


    • Minimum of three year post-registration nursing experience.


    • Six months’ experience in an emergency or acute care setting is desirable.


    • Ability to use own initiative.


    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


    • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize tasks.


    • Commitment to delivering a high-quality patient-focused service.


    • Willingness to undertake additional training and perform the extended role of the nurse.
