About the Role

The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to provide direct patient care, perform nursing procedures, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, and patient/family feedback unless otherwise noted.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Plans, implements and evaluates individualized care based on patient assessment, medical plan of care and the age and/or thedevelopmental stages of the patient.
  • Performs nursing procedures and clinical tasks specific to diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients.
  • Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
  • Ensures quality of care as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and supported by patient and family feedback.
  • Provides direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of aplan for the health/illness state and a plan of care.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience required in:
      • Special procedures, or
      • Radiology, or
      • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
    • Applicants with at least one (1) year of recent experience in the following will also be considered:
      • Critical Care
      • Telemetry
      • Emergency Department
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
    • Newly hired Cath Lab nurses must complete 6–8 weeks of Cath Lab procedure training with an experienced nurse preceptor.

      Compensation

      The expected hourly range for this position is UB/01D: $46.46 - 55.46- $63.82 per hour in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
