Burn Treatment Center and Intermediate Care Unit (8 JCP):
This is a 17-bed unit equipped with a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy room for burn/wound dressing care, a pediatric playroom and rehabilitation gym. The unit cares for both adult and pediatric burn patients as well as an adult trauma population requiring intermediate monitoring care. The unit has both inpatient and outpatient (Burn Clinic) facilities. Our staff also provide burn outreach and education and annually host a Burn Camp for burn patient survivors. The American College of Surgeons designated our unit as a Level I Burn Center since 1996.
Characteristic Duties of our Staff Nurses include but are not limited to
Percent of Time: 90%
Schedule: Day and Night rotating shifts, will include an every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
Location: Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, Iowa
Salary: $61,183 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate *This does not include differentials. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.* SEIU Pay Plan: https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/seiu-pay-plan
Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of up to $10,000 per year based on percent time
