This position is for an experienced Staff Engineer to support energy efficiency and demand-side management programs. This position will focus on identifying strategies to reduce energy consumption and promote clean technologies for commercial and industrial buildings and processes. Additional responsibilities include conducting whole-building facility audits, performing energy analyses, and supporting the development and management of multiple energy efficiency projects and clients.
This role requires strong technical expertise, particularly in building systems and demand-side energy strategies. The successful candidate will also demonstrate flexibility, a diverse technical skill set, strong communication abilities, and excellent client engagement skills.
The Staff Engineer-SEM role is central to supporting energy efficiency programs with a primary focus on Strategic Energy Management (SEM). The Staff Engineer-SEM will work with multiple commercial building owners and occupants to identify and implement Operations and Maintenance (O&M) strategies that drive energy savings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building energy systems and engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to engage and guide customers toward achieving energy savings. The successful candidate will also demonstrate flexibility, a diverse technical skill set, strong communication abilities, and excellent client engagement skills. This role will primarily support energy efficiency and demand-side management programs.

Compensation & Benefits: Franklin Energy reasonably expects the starting salary for this position to fall between $100,000.00 and $130,000.00/Annually. The final offer will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs.
