The Opportunity
Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer, Magnetic Calibrationto join our Global Manufacturing Product Engineering (MPE) team. In this critical role, you will be the process owner for the development, implementation, and maintenance of magnetic calibration processes for Allegro's measurement systems and instruments. You will lead efforts in calibration unit generation and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) magnetic field calibration, as well as design and implement automated calibration systems for bench setups. Your expertise will ensure the highest levels of accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in our magnetic sensor production.
What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and implement magnetic field calibration procedures for both bench instruments and ATE measurement systems.
Own and maintain the end-to-end process of calibration unit generation and ATE magnetic field calibration, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
Design and implement automation solutions for bench testing, ensuring compatibility with data analytic tools.
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conformances specifically involving magnetic field calibration issues.
Continuously implement improvements based on best-known methods and lessons learned from past projects and processes.
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry standards and specifications for magnetic calibration.
Collaborate closely with Design teams, Customers, and Allegro MicroSystems counterparts, as well as Department Heads, Engineers, Technicians, Supervisors, and Operators across various internal teams.
Contribute to the overall success of the Global MPE team by performing other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need:
Higher Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) repair and product/equipment characterization.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in the use of advanced statistical techniques for machine assessments, including:
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Process Capability Analysis
Proficiency in Lean Basic principles and 5S methodology.
Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE) and 8D Problem Solving.
Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and IATF Awareness.
Ability to monitor and analyze the progress and status of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
