
Tesla is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Controls Engineer for the Optimus Manufacturing team to be part of a world-class team of engineers responsible for designing and building the automation and robotics equipment at the Tesla factories. As a Staff Manufacturing Controls Engineer, you are responsible for driving a team of engineers and technicians to deploy programmable logic controllers (PLCs) solutions that improve machine reliability, uptime, and performance. This includes providing support activities during machine design, retools, code updates, installations, debugging, testing, and configurations. The candidate will structure equipment data to help validate changes and improve performance of the manufacturing process. They will organize cross functional meetings and use data to drive priorities for the team to improve OEE. They will work closely with cross functional teams through product design iterations and execute strategies to grow manufacturing capabilities. There will be occasional support of night shift and weekend shifts as needed.

Expected Compensation
$140,000 - $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
