About the Role

Our client is a private custody platform built for long-horizon digital wealth management — focused on secure multi-chain asset custody, portfolio operations, and long-term reliability rather than speculative trading.

Despite the full-stack title, this is primarily a frontend-leaning role. The team is migrating to a new solution and needs additional frontend bandwidth, while still expecting strong backend judgment and seamless systems integration. You'll join a small, senior, product-minded team to help build a greenfield v2 platform with new architecture, a new stack, and higher technical standards.

The role touches wallet operations, transaction signing, custody flows, portfolio management, and core product integration across multiple blockchains.

Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs and services for wallet management, transaction signing, asset tracking, and portfolio operations across multiple blockchains.
• Own PostgreSQL schema design for financial and blockchain data, including safe and type-aware migrations.
• Build and maintain blockchain interaction layers spanning EVM chains, Solana, Bitcoin, and Cosmos.
• Implement webhook handlers, background jobs, and async workflows for transaction monitoring, balance refreshes, and wallet lifecycle events.
• Design systems that correctly handle concurrency, idempotency, and failure recovery in financial workflows.
• Write migration scripts to transition legacy data into the v2 architecture.
• Support frontend integration work and wire React components to production APIs when it accelerates delivery.
• Write automated tests across unit, API, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Use AI tools as a practical force multiplier across real engineering work — not only for autocomplete.
• Contribute to architecture and engineering culture as a senior technical voice.

Requirements

Core requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership and system ownership.
• 8+ years of experience with TypeScript across both Node.js and React environments.
• Strong product mindset — able to think beyond implementation and stay aligned with business and user needs.
• Proven experience handling concurrency, idempotency, and failure recovery in financial or payment-like systems.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end and operating autonomously in a small remote engineering team.
• Clear AI fluency — actively using AI tools for end-to-end engineering work, not just autocomplete.
• English proficiency required for codebases, technical documentation, and professional communication.

Nice to have

• Crypto, Web3, or fintech backend experience.
• Precision handling for balances, decimals, and large-number financial data.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise across schema design, indexing, optimization, and ORM usage.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: transaction lifecycle, gas estimation, RPC providers, signing flows, and multi-chain addressing.
• Background job processing and async systems experience.
• AWS infrastructure experience (EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, Terraform, CDK).
• Familiarity with wallet or custody infrastructure providers.
• Redis and caching strategies for high-throughput systems.
• Working knowledge of signing standards, token standards, smart contract integration, and modern Web3 libraries.
• Experience in fintech, private banking, or wealth-management technology.

• Location: Buenos Aires preferred; Argentina second; broader LATAM considered with strong timezone overlap
• Language: English required; Spanish not required.
• Hours: LATAM business hours with reliable daily overlap
