We’re looking for a Staff Hardware Engineer to join our Research and Development Centre located in Wigram, Christchurch. The Staff Hardware Engineer will be developing technology for the next generation of Enphase micro-inverters. Typical Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Research and develop new power electronics technologies for Enphase micro-inverters and related products
• Specify, design and test new product designs
• Bring up and characterise early prototypes
• Provide mentoring and technical direction to product development teams

Skills and Qualifications:

• BE, BSc, Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 
• 5 years minimum experience in developing products from concept stage to market launch 
• Experience designing high frequency magnetics and advanced power converters
• Experience designing power, analogue or digital electronics circuits
• Knowledge of circuit schematics, PCB layout and simulation tools 
• Exposure to Python, C or FPGA design would be considered an advantage 
• Exposure to taking products through international compliance testing
