Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Engineer, Oracle EBS Techno-Functional (SCM) based in India.

This is a senior technical and functional role focused on Oracle E-Business Suite and enterprise supply chain operations.
You will act as a subject matter expert across procurement, sourcing, inventory, supplier management, and order management processes.
The position combines hands-on technical development with deep functional knowledge of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay workflows.
You will design, enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize critical Oracle EBS SCM solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
The role offers significant ownership across integrations, workflows, reporting, performance tuning, and production support.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
The position is well suited to an experienced Oracle professional who enjoys solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as the Oracle EBS Techno-Functional SCM subject matter expert, supporting procurement and supply chain processes across Oracle EBS R12/R12.2.x.
  • Provide functional and technical support for iSupplier Portal, iProcurement, Sourcing, Purchasing, Inventory, and Order Management.
  • Analyze business requirements, conduct fit-gap assessments, and translate procurement and supply chain needs into scalable Oracle EBS solutions.
  • Support and optimize end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, covering requisitions, approvals, sourcing, supplier onboarding, purchasing, receiving, and supplier collaboration.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RICEW components, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.
  • Customize and extend iProcurement and iSupplier Portal using Oracle Application Framework (OAF), including personalization and extensions.
  • Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions, including packages, procedures, triggers, functions, views, and other Oracle database objects.
  • Design and maintain approval processes using Oracle Workflow Builder and Approval Management Engine (AME).
  • Develop operational reports, RFQ templates, Purchase Order documents, and procurement outputs using BI/XML Publisher.
  • Build and support integrations between Oracle EBS and third-party systems using APIs, interface tables, web services, cXML/EDI, and other integration mechanisms.
  • Perform SQL, PL/SQL, interface, and database performance tuning to improve application reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot functional and technical issues through data-flow, application-logic, workflow, and database analysis, identifying root causes and implementing corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sourcing, supplier management, warehouse, engineering, project management, and business teams throughout requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Support system testing, Conference Room Pilots (CRP), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployments, and post-production validation.
  • Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation following AIM/OUM methodologies, including BR100, MD050, MD070, TE040, and related deliverables.
  • Use Oracle EBS utilities such as FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting to manage technical activities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and optimization across procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Maintain development standards, coding practices, technical documentation, and Oracle EBS best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members while taking ownership of key deliverables and production issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery and strong business outcomes.
  • Requirements:

    • 6+ years of overall professional experience, with strong experience in Oracle EBS SCM and a combination of techno-functional expertise.
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2.x.
    • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Procurement and SCM modules, including iSupplier Portal, iProcurement, Sourcing, Purchasing, Inventory, and Order Management.
    • Strong understanding of the complete Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including requisitioning, approvals, sourcing, supplier management, catalogs, purchase orders, receipts, and supplier collaboration.
    • Proven experience supporting and enhancing Oracle EBS SCM applications, including production support, incident resolution, and business-process improvement.
    • Strong RICEW development experience covering Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.
    • Advanced hands-on skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle database objects, and performance tuning.
    • Experience with OAF personalization and extensions for iProcurement and iSupplier Portal.
    • Practical experience with Oracle Workflow Builder and AME.
    • Experience developing reports and procurement documents with BI/XML Publisher.
    • Familiarity with FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
    • Experience integrating Oracle EBS with third-party applications through APIs, interface tables, web services, or related technologies.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with business users, leadership, technical teams, and external suppliers.
    • Strong English communication skills.
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
    • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Contracts or Procurement Contracts, PunchOut catalogs, supplier networks, cXML/EDI integrations, or Oracle EBS R12.2.x upgrades is a plus.
    • Exposure to automated testing, CI/CD, Git/Bitbucket, and online patching concepts is advantageous.
    • Experience with SAP Activate is not required; candidates should instead demonstrate strong Oracle EBS SCM expertise and the ability to bridge functional and technical requirements.
    • Functional profiles may also be considered if they demonstrate strong competency in the required technical areas.
