The AI Governance & Architecture team defines long-term technical strategies and governance frameworks to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant AI solutions across the organization. As a Staff Engineer, you will be at the forefront of these efforts, driving innovation through advanced problem-solving, architectural leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. As a seasoned professional, you leverage deep expertise in Cloud, Data and IA technologies to design robust technical strategies, and drive impactful solutions across key value streams, while mentoring other engineers.

Your main missions will be:

  • Advanced Problem-Solving: Tackle intricate technical challenges by analyzing problems from multiple angles, identifying root causes, and developing creative solutions that align with project goals and overarching business objectives.
  • Visionary Innovation: Anticipate the future of AI by translating emerging trends into transformative technical roadmaps. Proactively identify and champion disruptive technologies and frameworks that redefine our capabilities, ensuring the organization not only keeps pace but leads the industry with a forward-thinking competitive edge.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and guide cross-functional teams in designing and implementing high-impact technical solutions. Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations for complex technical issues. Provide guidance and support as a member of a technical committee (Local TADA).
  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment by mentoring other engineers, sharing best practices, and promoting knowledge sharing across and outside the teams. Contribute to different communities of practice or interest. Promote external collaboration.
  • Value Streams Support: Define and deploy long-term technical strategies, ensuring alignment with Air Liquide's overall Data & AI strategy. This includes focusing on accelerating AI adoption within key business value streams such as Customer Care, Industrial/Operations, and Global Business Services (GBS). Provide insights into the feasibility and viability of proposed technical initiatives.
  • Technical Strategy and Governance: Lead the strategy and implementation of Data & Knowledge Management, covering Structured, Unstructured, Semantic data, and Knowledge Graphs. Oversee Architectural Documentation & Governance by defining Policies, Guidelines, or Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Algorithmic & Computations Technologies Advancement: Contribute to the advancement of AI Algorithms & Computations Technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the cutting edge of computational efficiency and model performance.
  • Risk Management and Continuous Improvement: Identify potential technical risks and efficiencies from the field, in particular thanks to tech leads. Develop mitigation or improvement strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Proactively address global technical debt and system vulnerabilities.

Are you a MATCH?

Technical skills

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 8 years) in System and Solution Design and Architecture,
  • Proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
  • Mastery of practices and methods for designing scalable, robust, and high-performance architectures,
  • Expertise in Data & Knowledge Management frameworks and technologies (Structured, Unstructured, Semantic, Knowledge Graphs),
  • Advanced proficiency in architectural governance, policy definition, and ADR practices,
  • Deep expertise in scaling, deploying, and maintaining production-grade AI architectures,
  • Proven ability to design robust computational frameworks and advanced AI algorithms,
  • Extensive technical knowledge of a wide range of solutions and technologies (Cloud, integration, etc.),
  • Prior knowledge of certain key Air Liquide domains would be a plus.
