About This Role
The Staff Engineer is a technical expert responsible for leading the embedded design, development, and optimization of embedded software for our next-generation air-conditioner products.
This role will drive architecture decisions, solve complex technical problems, and provide technical leadership across projects, working closely with hardware, system, and production teams. The lead is expected to act as a go-to person for critical technical topics, mentor other engineers, and help ensure our products meet global quality, reliability, and cybersecurity standards.

This position is based onsite at Carrier - Indianapolis, 30 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Upon the successful completion of an initial onsite training and onboarding period (typically 4–6 weeks), this role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. This arrangement requires a minimum of three (3) days per week onsite, with the option to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
