We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent years deep in the trenches of Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, or Reliability sign-off, and you know that the real work starts when a customer's design hits a wall at 3nm and the timeline is already tight. You are the engineer who walks into a room with a foundry partner or a top semiconductor company, asks three clarifying questions, and immediately understands where the bottleneck is hiding.
You do not just run tools, you understand what the tools are actually doing under the hood. When a customer asks why their EM analysis is flagging violations that do not make physical sense, you can explain it in terms they trust and then work backward to find the real issue. You have written enough TCL and Python to automate the repetitive parts so you can focus on the problems that actually require thinking.
Working across time zones does not faze you. Neither does jumping between a technical deep dive with an architect in the morning and a results presentation to a VP in the afternoon. You care about getting the design to tape out correctly, and you are willing to push back when a proposed solution is not going to hold up in silicon. We are open to have the candidate work from Bangalore Or Hyderabad location based on candidate availability.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deploy and support Synopsys EDA sign-off solutions for Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, EM/ESD/Thermal Reliability, advanced timing/jitter, and Chip-Package-System co-design at leading semiconductor companies, IP providers, and foundries working on 5nm, 3nm, and 2nm nodes
- Collaborate directly with software developers, product architects, and product specialists to shape and refine EDA solutions built on the Seascape platform, translating real customer pain points into product requirements
- Provide technical consultation and hands-on guidance to customers globally, diagnosing design challenges, recommending methodologies, and troubleshooting complex sign-off issues in live customer environments
- Build and maintain TCL and Python automation scripts that streamline customer workflows, reduce turnaround time, and improve accuracy in sign-off closure
- Document technical findings, create application notes, and present results to internal teams and customer stakeholders in formats that drive decisions
- Travel occasionally to customer sites or Synopsys offices to support critical engagements, product launches, or technical escalations
- Stay current on emerging challenges at advanced nodes and work with the product team to ensure Synopsys solutions remain ahead of industry requirements
The Impact You Will Have
- Enable customers to achieve sign-off closure on cutting-edge SoCs and 3DICs that power AI, automotive, mobile, and high-performance computing applications used by millions
- Directly influence the development roadmap of Synopsys EDA tools by feeding real-world customer insights back to engineering and product teams
- Reduce time-to-tapeout for customers by identifying and resolving critical Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, and Reliability issues before they become schedule risks
- Build long-term technical relationships with top-tier semiconductor companies and foundries, becoming a trusted advisor they rely on for the hardest problems
- Strengthen the adoption and effectiveness of the Seascape platform by demonstrating its value in solving big-data design challenges at scale
- Contribute to the success of chips that define the next generation of technology, from autonomous vehicles to renewable energy infrastructure
- Mentor and elevate the technical capability of the broader applications engineering team through knowledge sharing and best practice development
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, VLSI, or a closely related field
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, or Reliability sign-off, ideally at advanced process nodes (7nm and below)
- Strong proficiency in TCL and Python scripting for automation, analysis, and workflow optimization
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in customer design environments under time pressure
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers, architects, and executives
- Experience working with EDA tools for sign-off analysis (RedHawk, PrimeTime, HSPICE, or similar platforms) is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements or internal collaboration
Who You Are
- You can take a messy customer problem with incomplete data, ask the right questions, and walk out with a clear action plan that gets them unstuck
- You are comfortable presenting technical results to a room full of senior engineers or executives without oversimplifying or losing the thread of what actually matters
- You do not wait for perfect documentation or a fully defined spec, you figure out what is needed, fill in the gaps, and move forward
- You have strong opinions about the right way to approach a sign-off problem, and you are willing to defend them with data while staying open to being wrong
- You can context-switch between a deep technical debug session and a high-level strategy conversation without losing momentum
- You treat customer success as your success, and you take ownership of outcomes even when the path to get there is not straightforward
