What you'll do...

Position: Staff Data Scientist

Number of Positions Available: Two (2)

Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Duties: Research, innovate, and develop cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms with high-dimensional, complicated unstructured and structured data. Experiment with and process large scale eCommerce datasets using distributed computing platforms. Mine insights from data and discover and build models that optimize various business goals and metrics. Build advanced feature extraction algorithms that feed into various recommendation applications, including audience targeting, relevance and ranking, measurement, and optimization. Build machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and active learning algorithms to continuously drive product placement and conversions. Write code to develop the required solution and application features by using the recommended programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. Build end to end systems and solutions to optimize personalized products performance for online customers and deploy the solutions at scale. Build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring and sharing business insights internally and externally. Work closely with leadership, product managers, and system engineers to continuously and collaboratively ship new models, algorithms, and improvements into production.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics related field

Skills required: Experience with Machine Learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, and tree-based methods, to provide valuable business insights from data. Experience building data models using Python, Pyspark, and R. Experience sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large amounts of data using distributed computing including Hadoop, HIVE, PySpark, and BigQuery. Experience building large and complex deep learning models (including RNN, CNN, Transformers, and LLMs) to solve business use cases using image, text, and tabular data. Experience implementing deep learning natural language and computer vision models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras. Experience designing and developing end-to-end production pipelines for real time and batch prediction services. Experience using cloud services to deploy and host machine learning models. Experience with machine learning and statistical libraries and packages including Scikit-learn, Stats models, NumPy, and SciPy. Experience with time series forecasting techniques including ARIMA, SARIMA, Holt-Winters, and Prophet. Experience with sample size determination. Experience with setting up A/B test and applying causal inference methods to analyze the results of randomized experiments and studies. Experience with exploratory data analysis using Matplotlib and Seaborn packages in Python and ggplot in R. Experience writing efficient data extraction and transformation queries using SQL. Experience generating business insights using statistical analysis on big data. Experience creating data visualizations and summaries for sharing with business stakeholders. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills

Salary Range: $171,337/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
