We are the Operations Excellence Team, dedicated to driving productivity improvements across Seagate’s manufacturing operations. Our focus is on identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency through data-driven insights and innovative AI solutions. As part of Seagate’s global network, we collaborate with production, engineering, IT, and quality teams to deliver measurable results that strengthen our competitive edge and set new standards for operational excellence.
• Lead and deliver end-to-end AI projects in manufacturing, from identifying business pain points to production deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Design high-value AI solutions for manufacturing scenarios such as predictive maintenance, process data analytics, and image/video recognition.
• Build and optimize data and model pipelines, including data governance, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment monitoring, and rollback strategies.
• Drive large-scale adoption of multi-agent AI and LLM applications in factories, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Seagate’s AI teams to establish best practices, governance frameworks, and training programs.
• Quantify project impact by setting and tracking OKRs/KPIs (e.g., yield improvement, reduced rework rates, faster response times) and reporting ROI periodically.
• You are a strategic thinker who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering tangible results.
• You excel at cross-functional collaboration, bridging technical and business teams with clear communication.
• You are adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
• You value precision, scalability, and ethical AI practices.
• 3-5+ years of AI/ML project experience, with at least two successful end-to-end deployments in industrial/manufacturing settings. You might also have: • Hands-on manufacturing project experience.
• Strong engineering skills in Python, deep learning frameworks, data processing, model serving, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and version control.
• MLOps expertise, including model registry, feature store, A/B and shadow deployments, drift monitoring, quality alerts, and SLA governance.
• Knowledge in areas such as computer vision (defect detection, OCR/barcode), time-series analysis/SPC, LLM/multi-agent systems, edge inference, and industrial protocols.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing data and processes, with strong project management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and clear reporting to leadership.
• Contributions to patents, research papers, or open-source projects.
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-premise deployments (private cloud/edge computing).
• Practical knowledge in AI governance and risk management.
Located in the high technology district, our site in Wuxi is a global manufacturing hub, where nearly 4,000 employees deliver technical services, customer tests, manufacturing, and support capabilities. On-site you can grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at our canteen, grab-and-go market, and coffee shop. We offer basketball, badminton, yoga clubs, and group exercise classes.
