Job Description

Electrification is seeking a candidate for a hands-on technical leadership role within the Electrification business Cyber Services function, responsible for delivering expertise across security monitoring, vulnerability management, cyber engineering, cloud security, AI security, and strategic cyber programmes across business managed/non-core environment. The role also serves as the senior cybersecurity point of contact for Electrification's India Cyber operations and provides mentorship to the local India cyber team.

Technical Leadership & India Point of Contact

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across the global cyber services function
  • Act as the senior cybersecurity point of contact for India operations, engaging local business, IT, OT, and engineering stakeholders
  • Represent India-specific cyber risks and requirements within global planning and governance activities
  • Mentor and provide team leadership to the local India cyber team
  • Liaise with GE Vernova HQ Cyber and Digital Technology teams to maintain alignment with enterprise standards

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Deliver detection engineering, alert triage, threat analysis, and incident investigation across Electrification's environments as required
  • Develop and improve detection coverage, response playbooks, and escalation processes
  • Design and run incident response plans and tabletop exercises
  • Provide post-incident analysis and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor the threat landscape and share timely intelligence with the Senior Director

Vulnerability Management

  • Lead technical delivery of the global vulnerability management programme across IT, cloud, software, and OT/ICS environments
  • Drive vulnerability identification, prioritisation, and remediation in line with enterprise risk standards
  • Maintain estate-wide vulnerability posture visibility and provide regular reporting to leadership
  • Support tooling rollout and optimisation; escalate critical vulnerabilities and systemic risks
  • Embed vulnerability management practices into development and delivery pipelines globally

Cyber Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain security tooling, automation, and engineering solutions across the global function
  • Develop detection-as-code, response orchestration, and vulnerability workflow automation capabilities
  • Engineer security integrations across cyber tooling, IT systems, cloud platforms, and OT/product environments
  • Evaluate and support adoption of new security technologies; provide technical assessments and PoC delivery
  • Document engineering artefacts, tooling configurations, and architecture decisions to support continuity and knowledge sharing

Cloud Security Guardrails

  • Own the design, implementation, and governance of cloud security guardrails across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Define and maintain a cloud security controls framework covering IAM, network security, data protection, logging, and workload hardening
  • Implement and operate CSPM tooling; provide ongoing visibility into misconfigurations and compliance gaps
  • Embed security guardrails into cloud landing zones, IaC pipelines, and CI/CD workflows
  • Maintain cloud security posture reporting for leadership; monitor advances in cloud security and translate into programme improvements

AI Security

  • Conduct technical AI security assessments across Electrification's AI initiatives globally
  • Identify and evaluate AI-specific risks including LLMs, AI supply chains, and third-party AI tooling
  • Develop practical AI security guidance, toolkits, and awareness materials for use across the organisation
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI capabilities to improve cybersecurity effectiveness and automation
  • Monitor developments in AI security risk and regulation; provide insights to inform programme direction

Strategic Cyber Programs

  • Contribute technical depth and delivery capacity to strategic cybersecurity programmes; own defined workstreams as assigned
  • Support the Senior Director in tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies; provide timely updates
  • Prepare programme reporting, risk posture updates, and technical briefings for operational and senior audiences
  • Champion security-by-design and cybersecurity culture across engineering, software, product, and IT teams globally
