Salary B20 $50,000 - $57,999
Performs audit work in the Internal Audit Division to include audits of financial, administrative and/or technical functions to determine compliance with Department policies, procedures, directives, and relevant laws; as well as effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Work involves examination and investigation of activities, practices and procedures in compliance with professional auditing standards and requires maintaining, reviewing and preparing confidential information. Work requires contact with departmental staff. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.
Salary B22 $58,000 - $65,000
Performs audit work in the Internal Audit Division to include audits of financial, administrative and/or technical functions to determine compliance with Department policies, procedures, directives and relevant laws; as well as effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Work involves planning, organizing and conducting audits in compliance with professional auditing standards; maintaining, reviewing and preparing confidential information. Work requires contact with departmental staff. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments;
however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Salary B23 $65,001- $75,000
Performs complex audit work in the Internal Audit Division to include audits of financial, administrative and technical functions to determine compliance with Department policies, procedures, directives and relevant laws; as well as effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Work involves planning, organizing, conducting and/or assistance in overseeing audits in compliance with professional auditing standards; maintaining, reviewing and preparing confidential information and other management-related programs. Work requires contact with departmental executives, and managers. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or finance.
Auditor I: No work experience required.
Auditor II: 2 YEARS in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, financial examination, or related experience.
(Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)
Auditor III: 3 YEARS accounting or auditing-related experience
(Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)
Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
