And we want you.Legal - ComplianceThis Staff Attorney role at Bell will be responsible for providing support to the Deputy General Counsel accountable for Bell’s Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function and for generally assisting with providing legal and compliance guidance to Bell’s operations and global locations through variety of tasks and responsibilities. What you’ll be doing as a Staff Attorney:Provide legal guidance on a variety of compliance related issues and policies as well as guidance and support to the Bell Ethics & Compliance team on various processes, matters and investigations.Understand areas of legal compliance risk and appropriate mitigation measures for a variety of topics, such as Global anti-corruption compliance (GACC), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)/anti-bribery laws, Anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, Conflicts of Interests and noncompete analysis, Hospitality/Gifts & Entertainment reviews, Donation and Sponsorship reviews, Revolving door provisions and post-government employment reviews, Data protection laws, Cybersecurity matters, REACH Regulation, Supplier compliance, Records retention, and Emerging topics in compliance landscape.Perform due diligence reviews for Bell Covered Business Partners to assess legal risk of current and potential business partners, as well as assist with intake, preparation and implementation of domestic consultant contracts and compliance-related certifications and maintenance of related books and records.Support issuance of contracts to Bell business partners and consultants, and support matters associated with Bell engagement with business partners and their ongoing compliance obligations.Manage the day to day KYC, hospitality, donation/sponsorship and post-government employment reviews workflow and legal reviews.Manage with finance team reviews of payment transactions for AML compliance and coordinate with other legal, finance and business stakeholders on compliance reviews and projects, including coordination with Textron legal team and collaboration across teams.Support all compliance and E&C reporting requirements to Bell and Textron leadership, including participation in relevant Steering Committee meetings and assist with preparing reports for such meetings and other annual compliance reporting requirements.Support and manage internal risk assessments and all compliance-related policies ensuring they remain current as well as support and manage any internal or external compliance-related audits.Support and conduct investigations pertaining to potential violations of Company policy and applicable laws, and assist with and support ethics investigations raised through the Textron Help-Line and other reporting channels.Provide guidance and support on overall E&C training initiatives, including onboarding, annual e-learning modules (CRCs) and periodic live training to employees on a variety of E&C related topics. May include creating training materials and delivering training.Monitor, research, identify and analyze changes to U.S. and foreign anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, conflict of interest, and other compliance related laws to determine impact to Bell policies, practices and procedures.As assigned, support other attorneys and subject matter experts within the legal team as well as assist with other special projects which may be necessary for the support of Bell’s business.
Skills You Bring To this Role:Juris Doctor degree earned from an accredited institution.2+ years of experience as a licensed attorney is required.
