Summary

Are you an attorney eager to litigate employment cases, represent state agencies in administrative hearings and provide advice to state agencies about the Freedom of Information Act? Our FOIA, Employment, Admin and Retirement Section offers the opportunity to do exactly that. While prior administrative law or employment litigation experience is preferred, it is not required. We value drive, curiosity and a commitment to excellence and we provide the training and support needed for you to thrive.

Our team represents and advises the Office of Retirement Services across a wide and constantly evolving spectrum of retirement system issues. We operate collaboratively, share expertise and take pride in delivering exceptional advocacy on behalf of the State of Michigan.

In this role, you will brief cutting-edge constitutional and statutory issues with substantial fiscal impacts, take and defend depositions, handle administrative proceedings, provide advice regarding the Freedom on Information Act and provide strategic counsel to client agencies on non-litigation matters.
