Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a self-directed learning methodology and curricular track where medical students learn the foundations of science knowledge within the context of clinical cases during the first two years of medical school. This opportunity will help to support the PBL curriculum administration, while providing strong customer service to medical students as they navigate a complex curriculum. Under the direction of the Director of Problem-Based Learning, the Staff Assistant supports faculty and students in the teaching and evaluation of student performance; creates, coordinates and disseminates relevant information and class schedules for students, faculty and staff; serves as a resource for student directed learning issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, plus one (1) year of related experience in a business office, government agency or a university setting required. Applicants lacking the degree may substitute appropriate related experience on a year-to-year basis.
All applicants must be MS Office literate including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with Canvas and One45 preferred.
Experience with diverse populations. Record of respect and openness towards people whose social and cultural background is different from one’s own. Ability to recognize and manage one’s behaviors and communication to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment within the department/organization.
