Role Purpose

  • Serve as the primary technical interface between Corning and assigned OEM/ODM/TPM customers, supporting Gorilla Glass product introduction, qualification, design-in, mass production, and specific project development.
  • Provide product training and technical support on cover glass IOX, finishing, and process optimization for performance improvement and troubleshooting, while understanding customer needs and technical trends and collect VOC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer technical demands, issues and build up working relationship at all levels
  • Have good understanding on Gorilla Glass products, performance, finishing, testing and integration with consumer electronic devices.
  • Work closely with commercial technology, commercial teams, and other technical teams in the region to achieve and increase Gorilla Glass product adoption.
  • Document thorough understanding of customers’ testing protocols, needs and acceptable tradeoffs.
  • Deliver solutions to meet technical requirements, resolve technical issues, and escalate to the appropriate level when necessary
  • Negotiate and close technical specifications with customers
  • Provide technical and product training to assigned customers if necessary
  • Develops knowledge of cover glass material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering
  • Problem solving and process improvement using structured problem-solving methods
  • Provides disciplined project leadership across multiple stages of innovation for new product, process, cost reduction and capacity improvement initiatives

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering related disciplines. Degree in glass technology, ceramics or materials sciences is preferred.
  • 5 years working experience in Mobile Phone business, glass finishing industry, cover glass cutting/polishing/coating, LCD, Touch Panel, semiconductor business, global company,

CET >=4.
