The role is for a Staff Power Systems Engineer in GE Vernova’s Wide Area Monitoring, Protection and Control (WAMPAC) Centre of Excellence in Edinburgh.
You will play a leading role in our dynamic Power Systems team within our highly collaborative WAMPAC CoE.
As one of our senior engineers, you will be a driver of research and design of solutions within the core WAMPAC products and their interaction with related physical and software systems and operational processes – such as the Energy Management System, stability assessment tools and control systems.
You will also serve as a technical lead on projects providing consulting and delivery services to customers, working closely with them to address power system problems, deliver our solutions, and shape the future of WAMPAC products.

We work closely with customers to develop innovative solutions to emerging problems, design and deliver monitoring software, control solutions and analytical applications. We also provide consulting services around power system performance, model validation, diagnosing stability issues, and more.
