Job Description

We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong software engineering and system design fundamentals to build and deploy production‑grade Generative AI systems in a MedTech environment. In this role you will work closely with product, clinical, service, and operations stakeholders to translate real‑world workflows into scalable, reliable AI‑powered applications. You will design, build, integrate, and operate LLM‑based systems, including RAG, Knowledge Graphs, Graph RAG, and Agentic AI workflows, and deploy them on AWS using SageMaker and Bedrock.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Apply strong software engineering principles to design, build, test, deploy, and operate AI‑powered systems end‑to‑end.
  • Design clean, scalable system architectures, including APIs, services, and data pipelines, with a focus on reliability, observability, and security.
  • Make sound engineering trade‑offs across latency, scalability, cost, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement LLM‑based solutions for real‑world, production use cases.
  • Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including:
    • Document ingestion and chunking strategies
    • Embeddings and vector search
    • Retrieval, reranking, grounding, and response synthesis
  • Implement Knowledge Graph and Graph RAG approaches to enable reasoning over structured and unstructured enterprise data.
  • Build Agentic AI systems capable of planning, reasoning, and executing multi‑step workflows.
  • Implement agentic workflows using tool/function calling, memory, context management, and guarded execution.
  • Design systems where agents orchestrate workflows and LLMs act as the reasoning and decision layer.
  • Work embedded with stakeholders to understand workflows, validate AI outputs, and iterate quickly from prototype to production.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into real applications (backend services, user‑facing tools, copilots, operational systems).
  • Own solutions in production, including monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and deploy AI services on AWS, leveraging:
    • AWS SageMaker for model training, hosting, and pipelines
    • AWS Bedrock for foundation models, agents, and knowledge bases
  • Implement CI/CD, containerization, and MLOps practices for AI systems.
  • Ensure secure access, governance, logging, and monitoring aligned with enterprise and healthcare requirements.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Strong foundation in software engineering and system design.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building backend services and APIs.
  • Hands‑on experience with Generative AI / LLMs, including RAG‑based systems.
  • Experience deploying and operating systems on AWS.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, customer‑facing, forward‑deployed environments.

Business Acumen:

  • Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments.

  • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems.

  • Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.

  • Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective
