The Staff Accountant II / Systems Support Accountant supports the Accounting Manager and other staff members in the administration of key accounting systems, timely completion of monthly reports, ad-hoc data queries, and documentation of key policies and procedures in addition to assisting in the preparation of all necessary audit schedules a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay Rate: $23.62 - $34.45 hourly

Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains general ledger accounting system rules to ensure only valid account combinations are allowed
  • Administers financial reporting system, including account hierarchies and creation of new reports
  • Reviews documents that fail to post to the general ledger and resolves any conflicts
  • Engages in short-term and long-term projects to improve accounting systems and procedures
  • Performs ad-hoc data queries as requested and conducts further account detail analysis communicating their findings
  • Communicates with senior management of material errors and possible issues
  • Proactively works with other departments to identify process or systemic differences
  • Works closely with Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountants to resolve any/all identified issues
  • Creates and maintains user profiles in the general ledger system and sets up and maintains AP Suppliers
  • Running, Reviewing, and maintaining allocated expenses during month end close
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
  • 2+ years practical experience in account reconciliation, general ledger, and reporting desired
  • 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
  • 1+ years customer service experience
