Job Location Grand Prairie, TX 75050 Position Type Full Time Salary Range $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 Salary/year

The Staff accountant will specialize in Accounts Receivable and Inventory areas of accounting.

The role will aid in the accounting aspects of Accounts Receivable such as the Bad Debt Accounting, Accounts Receivable Subledger and aid the Accounts Receivable Manager with collections, documentation and research as needed.

The role will also assist the Controller with inventory accounting such as the development of the excess and obsolete calculation, month end inventory entries and review inventory costing.

The role will include the preparation of month-end journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis costing data for month end close.

Qualifications

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger and sub-ledgers according to standards like GAAP.
• Prepare and record journal entries, including month-end entries related to AR and Inventory

• Track and analyze production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Manage fixed asset and inventory accounting, including tracking and costing.
• Assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances, and explain the reasons behind them.
• Provide financial support and data analysis for operational decisions.
• Identify errors and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.

Qualifications

BS in Accounting or Finance or 3-5 years of related accounting experience.

Manufacturing industry experience preferably.
