We’re seeking a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant I to join our growing accounting team. What You’ll Be Doing

As the Staff Accountant I, you’ll provide essential support to our Accounting Department, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. You’ll work on a broad array of accounting functions—from reconciliations and journal entries to audits and expense compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify corporate purchase card transactions and staff reimbursements to ensure compliance with Travel & Expense policies.

• Support month-end close by creating and recording journal entries with an understanding of financial impact.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items.

• Prepare and record daily bank deposits and handle related inquiries from banks and merchant services.

• Assist with financial analysis of general ledger accounts and propose reclassifications as necessary.

• Process per diems and travel expense accounts in accordance with policy.

• Allocate AP invoices and review AP Aging reports and vendor statements as needed.

• Respond to accounting inquiries and support the annual audit process.

• Contribute to special projects related to process improvement, reconciliations, and financial tracking.
