We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department through financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. STAFF ACCOUNTANT opportunity in a business that encompasses Real Estate and Senior Living
Our company is an owner, operator, and/or manager of senior living communities across multiple states. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, general ledger account reconciliations, and financial statements along with supporting schedules. Additionally, you will assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for assets, liabilities, equity accounts, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare variance analysis reports and provide commentary on actual vs. budget variances.
- Perform reconciliations between two or more systems.
- Assist with other accounting-related tasks as requested
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Proven experience working with US companies and strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, Finance Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Demonstrated job stability and professional commitment
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience in the Senior Living industry is preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions in collaboration with management.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible.
