Job Description

We are currently hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Client Advisory Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering comprehensive accounting support to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, is detail-oriented, passionate about process improvement and technology, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support multiple clients, software systems, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Perform transaction coding and categorization using QuickBooks Online
  • Research transactions and vendors as needed
  • Ensure consistency in transaction coding month-to-month
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations (payroll, prepaids, accruals, etc.)
  • Review balance sheet and P&L accounts for accuracy
  • Complete month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Contribute to improving processes and implementing best practices within the team

Required Skills

  • Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • High attention to detail in preparing and reviewing financial records
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong client service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or financial services experience preferred
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
