The Role:

We are seeking a strong, dynamic, and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Boca Raton, Florida team. Reporting into the Accounting Supervisor, this role will assist in the day-to-day accounting, end of month reconciliations, and preparation of quarterly SEC reports, as well as other general accounting related activities.

What You Will Do:

• Perform balance sheet accounts analysis and reconciliations, including but not limited to bank statements, fixed and intangible assets, payroll, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Analyze and prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries.
• Provide support and documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits in coordination with 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Processing, coding, and recording of accounts payables.
• Update and maintain vendor database, communicate with vendors as needed, maintain vendor packages, including completed W9’s & 1099s.
• Resolve AR and AP-related inquiries, discrepancies, and irregularities.
• Review and reconcile state sales tax where applicable.
• Review bank activity and complete daily cash reconciliation.
• Reconcile corporate credit card and employee expense reimbursements and statements.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Process customer payments, refunds, and credits.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
• An understanding of GAAP and SEC Rules.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Experience using NetSuite or other enterprise-level ERP.
• Prefer CPA or CPA candidate.
• Prefer experience working in a publicly traded company accounting environment.
• Prefer SOX 404 experience.
• Prefer Public accounting experience.
