Essential Functions as an Accounting Assistant:

• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
• Participate in processing cash receipts
• Assist with fixed assets management
• Internal financial report creation and preparation
• Assist with internal audit internal and external functions as necessary
• Assist with pricing new business opportunities
• Work with other departments to ensure accurate and proper accounting for related transaction are made timely and reflected in balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the CFO, VP of Finance or supervisor

Desired Skills & Experience for an Accounting Assistant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent years of experience and training
• Good organizational skills and detail orientation
• Able to effectively communicate (written and verbally) with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts
• Able to read and interpret financial data related to responsibilities
