Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and growth-minded Staff Accountant to join Blackbaud’s Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the completeness and accuracy of accounting activities, with an emphasis on global cash operations and opportunities to contribute across a broad range of accounting and finance functions. You will collaborate with Finance and Treasury teams to support a fast-paced, innovative technology company. Your work will directly contribute to Blackbaud’s financial strength and operational excellence, helping us expand what’s possible for purpose-driven organizations around the world. As a key member of the accounting team, you’ll leverage data, automation, and continuous improvement practices to enhance financial processes and drive smarter decision-making. Work Location & Schedule

Work Location: Sky tech, Financial District, Hyderabad, India

Work Schedule:

  • This role supports customers and stakeholders primarily during U.S. business hours.

  • Expected working hours are 11:00 AM to 08:00 PM IST, with occasional flexibility required to support collaboration with U.S.-based teams and business needs.

  • Participation in after-hours support rotations and select holiday coverage may be required based on product, region, or business needs.

What you'll do

• Own daily cash accounting activities and support month-end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete financial reporting across the organization.
• Drive process improvements through automation, standardization, and the use of technology to increase efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Analyze financial data and reporting for accuracy, reasonableness, and compliance, including information used in external reporting and regulatory filings.
• Partner closely with finance, treasury, and global accounting teams to ensure accurate accounting for cash transactions and facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to requests, and helping strengthen internal controls and compliance processes.

What you'll bring

• Active Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably combining public accounting and corporate accounting environments.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements, with exposure to Ind AS, Indian GAAP.
• Understanding of financial close processes, account reconciliations with emphasis on cash activities, audit support, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience using enterprise financial systems such as Workday and/or BlackLine, with strong analytical skills and proficiency leveraging technology, automation, and data-driven insights to improve accounting operations.
