Staff Accountant

Location: Oak Brook, IL
Compensation: $63,000 - $78,000 / year
ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant at our Oak Brook, Illinois headquarter office that is self-motivated to work directly with leaders in the business to ensure all aspects of Financial Statements comply with US GAAP. This individual should be creative, dedicated and able to work with a collaborative culture. He or she must have the ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and work closely with other team members to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and share data.
How You Will Help
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and related data per company policy and US GAAP and collaboratively work with other functions to ensure reconciling items are quickly resolved
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Analyze financial statements and related information specific to assigned areas and investigate discrepancies and variances
- Support month-end close process
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and communicate monthly and ad-hoc reports
- Work with external auditors and support special projects
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- 0-2 years experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on a large ERP solution (D365 preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent with Microsoft applications
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI preferred)
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with others in a team environment
- Self-starter with excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Detail, deadline and goal-oriented
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $63,000-78,000 *
