Are You Booster’s Next Staff Accountant?

As a Staff Accountant on the Finance team, you play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations across the organization. This role supports the integrity of Booster’s financial reporting through journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close activities, audit support, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with accounting and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records, support operational excellence, and help drive informed business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and accountability matter.

How You’ll Impact Booster’s Mission:

General Ledger & Month-End Close

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by completing assigned tasks within established deadlines.

  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Assist in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Process and review accounting transactions in accordance with company policies and GAAP.

  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities as needed.

  • Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Assist with annual audit requests and provide supporting documentation to auditors.

  • Help maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

Process Improvement & Team Support

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and tooling.

  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests from the Director of Accounting, FP&A team, and CFO.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach

  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 annually
