As a Staff Accountant on the Finance team, you play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations across the organization. This role supports the integrity of Booster’s financial reporting through journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close activities, audit support, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with accounting and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records, support operational excellence, and help drive informed business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and accountability matter.
General Ledger & Month-End Close
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by completing assigned tasks within established deadlines.
Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Assist in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
Financial Operations & Compliance
Process and review accounting transactions in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities as needed.
Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external reporting requirements.
Assist with annual audit requests and provide supporting documentation to auditors.
Help maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
Process Improvement & Team Support
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
Assist with implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and tooling.
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Support special projects and ad hoc requests from the Director of Accounting, FP&A team, and CFO.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach
High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
