We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our team at Green Star Exteriors. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and assisting with payroll, benefits administration, and job costing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction and home improvement environment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Handling the fundamental aspects of the organization's financial record keeping and recording accounting transactions
- Processing all accounts payable and receivable, bank statement reconciliations, and general ledger posting using QuickBooks
- Payroll processing, invoicing, and job costing
- Managing employee benefits and 401k
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
- 5+ years of Bookkeeping or Accounting experience in the construction industry (preferred)
- Payroll processing, invoicing and job costing
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks Desktop
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with general contractors or subcontractors
- QuickBooks Certification
- Experience with Job Costing and construction accounting

Compensation
Competitive salary: $65,000 - $85,000
