
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Accounting and Finance team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of all financial transactions of the club. Responsibilities extend to payroll, treasury, tax and compliance, risk management, and MLB reporting requirements. In addition, the department is dedicated to working with all business and department leaders on financial reporting and controls, setting strategies through budgeting and forecasting, analyzing key operating indicators and trends, and ensuring proper oversight of the club’s financial resources.
The Staff Accountant is a unique and challenging role with an extensive level of responsibility across FSG Boston, including the baseball club, Red Sox Foundation, and real estate entities. This position leads all account receivable functions and supports invoice processing and revenue recognition across these entities. Additional responsibilities will include supporting month-end close cycles and reviewing and preparing financial statements. This role’s multitude of responsibilities will require a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service in all areas.
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 based on relevant experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for annual incentive pay along with our comprehensive benefits package.
