The Staff Accountant,in collaboration with and in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives,is a key member of a group of talented Accounting and Tax professionals. This position supports daily accounting operations, including the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review of financial statements, and various firm-wide business initiatives and projects.The Staff Accountant has the opportunity to assist with various firm-wide business initiatives and projects.As a member of a team that is extremely focused on process improvement, this position alsohas the opportunity tohelpeliminateinefficiencies andidentifysolutions to maximize results. This role works collaboratively with professionals outside of theAccountingteam, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, InformationTechnologyand various others.

  

Location

This position cansitin ourBaltimore or Chicagooffice and offers a hybrid work schedule.

  

Responsibilities

  • Prepares journal entries on a daily basis.

  • Reconciles general ledger account balanceson a monthly basisto ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Reviews and analyzes financial statementson a monthly basis Provides commentary to senior leaders of theAccountingteam.

  • Assistswith the year-end financialstatementaudit and other audits, asrequired

  • Assistswith accounting operations for international entities in Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Brazil

  • Assistwith daily treasury activities.

  • Works collaboratively with a talented group ofAccountingprofessionals, including senior leaders of theAccountingdepartment. Also has exposure to professionals outside of theAccountingdepartment, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, InformationTechnologyand various others.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills  

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. Polished written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Public accounting and/or law firm experience preferred.

Minimum Education  

  • Bachelor's DegreeinAccounting, Finance or related field

Certificates

  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.

MinimumYears of Experience

  • 2 years ofprior accounting experience.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of forcefrequentlyor constantlyto lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work Environment  

The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangementcomprisedof remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will bedeterminedin coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may bemodifiedin the firm’s discretion in the future.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is$75,330 - $90,000per yeardepending on the candidate’s geographic market location.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
