The Learning Experience is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting operations and financial reporting for a growing, multi-entity organization. This onsite role is responsible for assisting with month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting support while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience working in ERP systems, and the ability to analyze financial performance in a fast-paced environment. This position partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams and offers strong opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:Accounting Operations and Month-End Close

  • Support monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare account reconciliations and balance sheet schedules
  • Support accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and business units
  • Maintain integrity of financial records and accounting documentation

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Analyze financial results against budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and dashboards for internal stakeholders
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify operational or financial trends
  • Support budgeting activities, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Audit and Compliance Support

  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting schedules and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and reporting requirements
  • Support internal controls and accounting process improvements

ERP Systems and Process Improvement

  • Utilize ERP systems including NetSuite, Oracle, Intacct, or similar platforms
  • Assist with process automation and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support financial system maintenance and accounting workflow improvements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Operations teams on accounting initiatives
  • Support ad hoc reporting and financial analysis requests for leadership
  • Collaborate across departments to improve reporting accuracy and operational alignment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA progress or accounting certification a plus
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Intacct preferred
  • Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
