The Staff Accountant will understand accounting, controls, the general ledger and financial forecasting. This role provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparation of management financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts semiannual internal audits of policies and procedures at all company warehouse locations and headquarters including overseeing warehouse safety
• Prepare written audit reports to Senior Management following monitoring activities of prior audit findings
• Assist in and collect requested documentation for quarterly and annual external audits
• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries including month end accruals
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
• Assist in annual inventory counts
• Request and analyze monthly inventory cycle counts of all company warehouse locations
• Prepare corporate state sales and use tax returns
• Prepare and submit government reporting such as; BEA and US Census Bureau
• Distribute profit and loss statements to external management
• Reconcile daily cash collections, including checks, credit cards, ACH and wires
• Manage 1.5M distributor account including collecting payment, invoicing
• Researching and correcting account discrepancies
• Prepare sales representatives quarterly commission reports
• Provide accounting assistance to operational and sales personnel
• Prepare, distribute and analyze revenue, cost and sales reports as needed
• Prepare report and overview advertising spending
