Roles and Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger & Month-End Close
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis

Job Cost Accounting

  • Assist project teams with job cost tracking and reporting
  • Ensure accurate coding of invoices and journal entries
  • Maintain cost visibility and accuracy across projects

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and process contract billings
  • Monitor and track open receivables
  • Compile weekly funding and collection reports

Bank Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies

Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing financial reports (weekly/monthly)
  • Support audit requests and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls

Process Improvement

  • Identify and support process improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Exposure to accounts receivable and job costing
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficient With:
  • Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Accounting systems and financial tools

Experience Advantage:

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline)
  • Experience with Procore or similar systems
  • Exposure to job costing and project accounting
