Job Description

We are partnering with a rapidly growing private equity firm in Boca Raton, FL that is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is a high-visibility role offering direct exposure to fund-level accounting, portfolio company activity, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cash monitoring and prepare timely bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities
  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions with a high level of accuracy
  • Review, track, and reconcile corporate credit card activity and expense reporting
  • Allocate expenses across funds and portfolio companies in accordance with investment structures
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Prepare and maintain detailed workpapers to support financial statements and reporting
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure proper eliminations across entities
  • Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, due diligence, and compliance procedures
  • Support investor reporting, including preparation of notices, capital calls, and distributions
  • Assist in maintaining and updating financial models, forecasts, and budgets
  • Partner with senior leadership on special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or financial services experience is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Experience with large ERP systems
