Key Responsibilities
Utilize SAP on a daily basis to process accounting transactions, perform data entry, maintain records, and support reporting activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking inventory movements, reconciling inventory balances, and ensuring proper documentation within the system
Process high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections follow-ups
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, account coding, and general ledger maintenance
Support core accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, inventory, and fixed assets, by ensuring accurate data entry and proper recordkeeping
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing supporting schedules, entering adjustments, and following established procedures
Prepare basic account reconciliations, including inventory-related accounts, and escalate discrepancies or unusual items for review
Support cost accounting activities by maintaining inventory costing data and assisting with standard vs. actual cost tracking
Collaborate with internal teams and international offices to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure consistency across systems
Assist with audit and external CPA requests by organizing documentation and preparing supporting schedules
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation to support internal reviews and audits
Follow established internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and data integrity
Provide general administrative and operational support to the accounting team as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in corporate, operational, or transactional accounting, with hands-on involvement in bookkeeping, A/P, and A/R processes
Practical experience with inventory accounting and recordkeeping, including tracking inventory movements, maintaining accurate balances, and supporting inventory reconciliations
Exposure to cost accounting concepts (e.g., standard vs. actual costing) and fixed assets accounting
Working knowledge of SAP (required), with experience in inventory, materials management, or cost accounting modules strongly preferred
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with month-end close processes and supporting activities
Experience supporting external CPAs or auditors by preparing documentation and responding to information requests
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and data gaps in high-volume transactional environments
Clear written communication skills, with the ability to produce organized documentation, checklists, and follow-up items
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with international teams across different time zones, with adaptability to varying processes and communication styles
