Job Description

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a couple of years of experience who wants to deepen their technical skills, gain exposure to a multi-entity environment, and play a meaningful role in month-end close and financial reporting.

You’ll be a key contributor across core accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis, while partnering with internal stakeholders to support business decisions. What You'll DO:

  • Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
  • Track receivables and ensure timely and accurate cash application
  • Prepare schedules for prepaid expenses and fixed assets
  • Assist with financial reporting, trending analysis, and budget support
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support operational and financial needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency

The key responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include but not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconciles bank statements for all entities
  • Performs journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepares depreciation and prepaid asset schedules
  • Coordinates and prepares pertinent information for external auditors
  • Records all receivables, to include cash receipts and vendor refunds, for all entities. Monitor receivables to ensure that payments are current
  • Prepares trending reports for specific entities
  • Reviews operating results for all entities
  • Assists in month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements
  • Serves as liaison to Program Directors, assisting them with cash management and revenue issues
  • Assists with budget review and analysis
  • Develops and implements process improvements and document changes in the accounting policy and procedures manual
  • Performs other duties or projects as assigned

  • Attend and complete all required trainings as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Experience in a multi-state and multi-unit company, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Experience working in high-growth companies is preferred
  • Ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and scale
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of Solomon Dynamics is preferred
