In this role, you’ll step into the core of our reinsurance workflow—reviewing key documents, processing premium activity, and keeping account structures running smoothly. WHO ARE WE?

We do this through our unbundled claims and risk control business model. We pioneered the alternative market approach to insurance risk management. ORRM has worked with many Fortune 500 companies and other large publicly held and private enterprises since the early 1950s. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll help keep reinsurance information organized, current, and consistently accurate. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, take ownership of meaningful details that keep operations moving, and contribute to a fast-paced environment where your strengths truly shine. What You’ll Take On

• Update and maintain reinsurance structures for assigned accounts, including new and renewal policies
• Process reinsurance premium transactions, excess losses, and corresponding recovery memos
• Review and reconcile certificates from reinsurers against account summaries, reinsurance structures, and worksheets
• Prepare monthly cession statements, complete expiration packets, and perform general ledger and statistical balancing procedures
• Maintain integrity of reinsurance/accounting systems, files, and records, including Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and account books
• Produce quarterly management reports and maintain prior year accounting files
• Establish and maintain communication with internal and external contacts, resolving minor accounting and reinsurance issues

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an office or administrative environment, ideally working with data, documents, or financial information
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance — a great bonus, but not required

• Strong organizational skills that help you keep information clean, clear, and consistent
• Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right the first time
