Staff Accountant (Full-Time)

Salary: $64,334.40

What You'll Do:

  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and disbursements
  • Analyze monthly activity of assigned general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and adjust associated income statement accounts
  • Prepare draft income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Assist in year-end close
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Research technical accounting issues to insure appropriate treatment of complex transactions
  • Support Payroll/Accounts Payable Coordinator
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist with multiple functions throughout Finance Department
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years accounting experience, healthcare experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of associates within organization, knowledge of GAAP, analytical and problem solving skills, management skills
  • Strong computer skills and must be proficient in Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Samaritan is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, independent organization locally founded in Moorestown, New Jersey in 1980. Samaritan is the regional leader for hospice care, palliative (comfort) medicine, primary care at home, transitional support, grief support and counseling, end-of-life education, and advocacy.
