Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor milk utilization and provide timely cost reporting
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting and audits
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support both external audit requirements through organized documentation and timely responses

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper purchase order and receiving documentation and correct GL coding
• Prepare weekly payment runs, including checks and ACH, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
• Maintain and update vendor master data to ensure integrity and security of payment information
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations of the AP subledger to the general ledger
• Ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements and maintain W-9 documentation on file
• Assist in implementing process improvements and efficiencies as part of the upcoming AP system transition

Target Compensation: $75,000 - $82,000 annually

This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in financial processing, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments. The Staff Accountant must be comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and supporting operational effectiveness.
