GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
We are partnering with a fast-growing start up company in the technology space looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.
The Staff Accountant is a key contributor to the accounting team, responsible for general ledger activities, month-end close support, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position works closely with internal stakeholders and supports ongoing business operations, including acquisition integration and ad hoc analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and accurately record accounting transactions in accordance with internal policies and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data.
Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including detailed reconciliations, to support a smooth, accurate, and timely month-end close process.
Perform account reconciliations and provide support during month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance and consistency across financial statements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
1+ years of related accounting experience
