Team Overview

Our Finance team is a passionate, high-performing group committed to supporting PowerSchool operations through accurate and timely financial transaction management. The team provides critical business guidance on a broad range of accounting, reporting, and analytical projects, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a hands-on Lead Accountant with 6–7 years of experience to manage the end-to-end accounting function for our India operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, statutory compliance, GST and tax filings, balance sheet reconciliations, audit support, and continuous process improvements.

  The ideal candidate should be technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced multinational environment.

• Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) required.
  • CA Inter, CMA, M.Com, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is an added advantage but not mandatory.

  Experience

  • 6–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience handling end-to-end accounting in a multinational or technology/SaaS company preferred.
  • Strong exposure to month-end close, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and audits.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with shared services or global finance teams is desirable.

  Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS/IGAAP).
  • Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Companies Act, and statutory compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Good understanding of internal controls and reconciliation processes.

  • Timely completion of month-end close.
  • Accurate financial reporting with minimal audit observations.
  • 100% compliance with GST, TDS, and statutory filing deadlines.
  • Timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Improved accounting processes and stronger financial controls.
