Job Description

The Steam Turbine Systems Integration Leader owns the architecture of specific Steam Turbine Product(s). In this role, you will translate customer requirements, technical constraints, commercial objectives, and product application boundaries into a compliant, manufacturable, and release-ready turbine configuration during the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase.

You will provide technical leadership to the application team across project assessment, configuration selection, risk review and release strategy development, supporting a smooth and controlled handoff to the Order-to-Remittance (OTR) organization. This role requires a strong understanding of steam turbine cycle design, product architecture, operability, module selection, and interfacing disciplines, as well as the ability to work closely with application engineering, commercial teams, design teams, quality, and OTR stakeholders. You will also collaborate closely with Product Management, Requisition Engineering and NPI to help ensure GE Vernova delivers best-performing and reliable power generation products.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the steam turbine architecture and application space for product(s) assigned
  • Support the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) processes, assessing turbine configuration applicability, operating envelope, and product fit within the defined application space, managing risk appropriately.
  • Own the steam turbine application catalogue content for assigned product(s) and release strategy, inclusive of associated engineering hour estimations for requisition engineering
  • Collaborate closely with product line, plant system engineering, NPI and component design.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines and controlled title holders on thermodynamics, operability, rotating and structural design.
  • Deliver on specific NPI programs further developing, improving, standardizing and automating steam turbine engineering processes
  • Contribute to defining the product for bidding on customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with requisition engineering leader to assess business opportunity and evaluate necessary resources and schedule for customer deliveries
  • Identify opportunities to apply lean to processes and product offerings to drive cost savings and/or performance improvements

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Engineering or Physics in the field of Turbomachinery, Thermal Power Generation and Energy System Engineering, or equivalent qualification(s).
  • Min 8 years of applicable professional experience
  • Multiple years of demonstrated experience working on steam turbine engineering, including system integration with CC plant and working closely with component engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience in system integration, product configuration, or application engineering
  • Fluency in English Language

Desired Characteristics

  • Higher academic degree may be an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior engineer
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams, peers, leadership, and occasionally external customers
  • Strong understanding of steam turbine thermodynamics, cycle design, operability, and performance fundamentals
  • Experience with turbine module selection, plant configuration, and interface management
  • Experience with Inquiry-to-Order (ITR) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) processes
  • Familiarity with engineering risk review processes, design release workflows, and configuration management
  • Strong documentation, communication, and technical presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support fast-paced commercial and engineering decision cycles
