Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Powder Coatings Testing & Project Management Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and evaluation of powder coating products. You will also manage technical projects from initiation to completion. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality coating solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Technical Evaluation

  • Design, execute, and document powder coating performance tests, including adhesion, gloss, hardness, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and weathering tests in accordance with ASTM, ISO, and internal standards.

  • Evaluate raw materials, formulations, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.

  • Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports with actionable recommendations.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and upkeep of testing instruments.

  • Support troubleshooting of coating defects and process-related issues in collaboration with production and customer service teams.

  • Lead and manage powder coatings development and testing projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

  • Define project objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including R&D, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Prepare and present project status updates and technical findings to management and cross-functional teams.

  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal R&D teams to address technical inquiries and provide coating solutions.

  • Participate in customer visits and technical discussions to understand application requirements and provide expert guidance.

  • Collaborate with global teams and external partners on joint development and testing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in powder coatings, paints & coatings, or related chemical industries.

  • Proven experience in coatings testing, formulation evaluation, or laboratory management

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and reporting.

  • Solid knowledge of powder coating chemistry, application processes, and performance testing standards (ASTM, ISO, EN, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external customers.

  • Proficient in English reading and writing; ability to prepare technical reports, correspondence, and presentations in English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
